Home Helpers began in 1997 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The vision of this new company was to provide services to a growing community of those over age 65 that want to remain independent, however they have found they need help managing their everyday life.
Today Home Helpers has expanded their services to care not only for seniors but new moms, working parents and those recuperating from a recent illness or injury. Home Helpers is here to provide help to those whom life has been interrupted through illness, injury, the birth of a child, aging and bring back stability to their households.
Home Helpers offers a full-range of non-medical care services that will empower our clients to have the best possible life experience given their particular personal situation. Our Home Helper Caregivers provide services in retirement communities, nursing homes, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and more. Anywhere a need may be, we will be there to help. We can give families peace of mind knowing their loved ones are being cared for, even when they can not. be there. We understand how hard this time can be for families and we work with clients and family members to develop a care plan that is tailored to meet client's specific needs.
In addition to personal care, our clients have access to Direct Link, an in-home emergency monitoring system. Response plans are customized by the client and several people will be alerted in an emergency situation. A Personal Emergency Response System not only enables independent living for the client, but provides peace of mind for family and friends. It is very affordable, just a little more than a dollar a day and requires no long-term commitment or obligation.
Home Helpers of Georgia and Alabama is owned by Beth and Amber Dow, a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law team. Beth has been in the social services field for over 20 years and Amber has 3 years experience working with families and social services.
All Home Helper Care Givers are carefully screened and are the "cream of the crop" in the field of non-medical person care.
