Wesley Woods was founded in 1954 by leaders of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church and Emory University. Wesley Woods Senior Living, Inc. is the retirement housing division of Wesley Woods, which provides, through its Affiliates, independent apartment and cottage living, assisted living, nursing care, and Alzheimer's care in certain of its six locations throughout North Georgia. It is affiliated with both the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church and Wesley Woods Center of Emory University, a part of Emory Healthcare. A non-profit organization, Wesley Woods Senior Living, Inc., through its Affiliates, provides a comprehensive, regionally oriented service program and serves as a training and research site addressing important problems in aging and health.
The Wesley Woods Center campus includes Wesley Woods Towers, Budd Terrace nursing care with Vista Hospice, and the Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital acute care and clinic services, integrated with Emory Healthcare.
