Books on Blankets started in 2019 when Atkinson Elementary media specialist, Jessica Pope, applied for and won a grant to start this initiative. Since then, Books on Blankets still strives to help families create happy memories surrounding books and reading in the summer with the help of other literacy partners such as Coweta Ferst Foundation, Newnan Carnegie Library, Foundation Christian Church, and local educators. Please join us and bring your friends!
