Non-Profit Partner Application

The Tradition

The Sunrise on the Square Road Race will be held on Saturday August 31st, 2019 at 8am. The Sunrise on the Square Labor Day Road Race is a local favorite, and has been held annually in Downtown Newnan on the Saturday before Labor Day for over 25 years! The race begins in Downtown Newnan and spans through “The City of Homes,” where runners will catch a glimpse of our beautiful, historic in-town neighborhoods and commercial district.

Main Street Newnan is extending the opportunity for community based non-profits and organizations to apply to become our race partner. Race partners will be promoted in all marketing, will assist in facilitating the race, and will be expected solicit and secure race sponsorships. In turn, the non-profit partner will receive net proceeds from the race.

Non- Profit Partners

Non-profit partners will be selected based upon their mission- vision, plan of work, and ability to commit to race preparation obligations. Applicants must be a local Non-profit or organization that is committed to providing services and resources that improve the general welfare of our community. Non-profit partners will be expected to explain their work and community involvement within their application, and describe why the partnership would enhance their ability to provide to those in need.

Once the application is submitted, Main Street Newnan will schedule an interview with the organization. The Downtown Development Authority will select the nonprofit partner based on qualifications and recommendation from staff.
